Why is it so difficult to land a great job...

There are a variety of reasons why landing a great job is a challenge. First, Far too many people will do their own resume, or have a friend or relative do it---BIG MISTAKE. Second, there is a lot more competition from a workforce with an excellent education and certifications. Third, landing a good job is a science. A resume can no longer be a list of job duties. It has to be a personal and compelling story that appeals to hiring managers. A resume must convey the value that you can bring to an organization, and it must be keyworded to get past ATS tracking systems. Fourth, A resume has to be well crafted so that your character and values come across along with your skills and experience.
