Why are some people getting more interviews than me?

Is there something wrong with my resume? I have been in this business for 31 years and I can say in all objectivity that 99% of resumes that I see are written like job descriptions instead of marketing pieces. When a resume states the obvious for a specific position, it will not stand out because it reads like everyone else's resume. The goal is to get your resume to the top of the pile and we do that by using language that demonstrates the value that you bring to an employer. The end result is a high rate of interviews for each of our clients.
