The great outplacement myth:

I am often amazed at what employers will pay for outplacement services, often as high as $5,000 per employee. It's as if they believe they're getting screwed unless they pay through the nose. I have a bulletin for these employers, "ridiculously high outplacement fees do not equal quality".  At Resumes Etc, we charge a fraction of what others charge and we provide more services. We don't come in, run a quick seminar, give a few tips on resumes and then move on to the next cash cow. How many people do you know that have been happy with their outplacement benefit?
